Next Step in Cooperation with China

UVR LLC took part in the Third Belarusian-Chinese Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum “New Tracks for the Development of Interstate Entrepreneurship”, which was held on June 15-16, 2023 on the territory of the Scientific and Technological Park “Polytechnic” of the Belarusian National Technical University.

UVR LLC presented its heavy unmanned helicopter “COMBO” as part of the seminar-presentation of joint projects and proposals for cooperation “Breakthrough Technologies”, as well as the conversion of manned helicopters into drones and the prospects for use of this technology at China’s market.

Reports and presentations were made in form of a videoconference between BNTU, Minsk and Shanghai University.

At the same time, demonstration flights of the UAVs “COMBO” and “Electron 7” were carried out for representatives of the PRC business circles at “Kukhtichi” airfield. The guests highly appreciated the potential of the company and expressed their interest in further cooperation. Currently, agriculture, construction and energy are the most interesting and promising segments of Chinese market for heavy UAVs. The use of heavy weight UAVs like “COMBO” in these areas of business activity becomes more timely and relevant than ever!

Participation in the demonstration exercise of the Ministry for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of Russia

From May 31 to June 03, UVR LLC took part in a large-scale demonstration exercise at the training ground of the Noginsk Rescue Center of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), organized as part of the international exhibition “Integrated Safety & Security 2023” – https://en.mchs.gov.ru/for-mass-media/novosti/5031880

The exercise involved more than 900 people and 170 units of various types of machinery and equipment including helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and specialized robotic systems. More than 90 representatives from 24 countries and six international organizations visited the event to witness the Russian rescuers performing various tasks.

During the exercises, emergency situations were simulated and their liquidation was carried out with the use of various technical means including manned and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The UVR team conducted demonstration flights of the UAV “Electron 7” in simulated emergency situations, performing a number of tasks including alerting of citizens using a loudspeaker and delivering a 7 kg cargo onto the roof of a building in fire. Despite the difficult conditions for the use of UAVs, the flight missions were completed accurately and timely.

Participation in the demonstration exercise of the Ministry for Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of Russia

Participation in the exercise became a landmark event for the company and confirmed its high competence in the development and production of light helicopter-type UAVs. The next stage of the cooperation between UVR LLC and the EMERCOM of Russia will be the approbation and testing of the UAV “Electron 7” by special units of the Ministry in real conditions.

UVR LLC at HeliRussia 2023

UVR LLC took part in the International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2023 – https://helirussia.ru/

The event was held from 18 to 20 May at the Crocus Expo IEC, Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

HeliRussia is the only specialized exhibition in Russia, where the entire range of products and services of the national helicopter industry is presented: from design and production to operation, maintenance and repair.

The exhibition was attended by:

– leading enterprises in the helicopter industry of the Russian Federation, such as Russian Helicopters JSC, United Engine Corporation JSC, Aerospace Equipment Corporation, etc.;

– developers, manufacturers and operators of unmanned aerial systems and payloads;

– scientific institutions and educational institutes, training centers, among which are the Moscow Aviation Institute, Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev;

– aircraft repair, trade and service enterprises.

Among the visitors of the exhibition were representatives of organizations operating helicopters, both manned and unmanned, government agencies and officers of foreign states diplomatic missions.

UVR LLC presented a light helicopter-type UAV “Electron 7” with various payload options and its technological solutions. Also, a presentation of the scientific and technical potential of the company was made.

The company’s developments and competencies in the field of converting manned aircraft into unmanned aerial vehicles aroused high interest among the organizations involved in design, manufacturing and operation of aerial vehicles and equipment. The company received a number of proposals for cooperation.

Participation in the Forum at the Belarusian State Aviation Academy

The event was held on May 04-05 in Minsk on the territory of the Belarusian State Aviation Academy. Important parts of the event were the exposition dedicated to the Belarusian manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles and the thematic session “Prospects for the Development and Features of Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.”

The form was attended by:

– representatives of state structures of the Republic of Belarus;

– representatives of diplomatic missions of several countries;

– organizations – developers and manufacturers of unmanned aerial systems and payloads;

– dealers and manufacturers of diagnostic equipment and control devices.

Participation in “Unmanned Aviation 2023” Conference

UVR LLC took part in the X^-th Eurasian International Conference “Unmanned Aviation – 2023”

The event was held on April 20 in Moscow. The conference was organized by the Center for Strategic Developments in Civil Aviation (CSR GA).

“Unmanned Aviation – 2023” is the largest business platform for professional discussion of international trends and innovative solutions, issues of regulatory and technical regulation of unmanned aircraft systems.

The conference was attended by:

– representatives of federal and regional authorities, government structures of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;

– developers, manufacturers and operators of unmanned aircraft systems and payloads (aerial survey equipment, meteorological, geophysical equipment, high-speed wireless data transmission systems, etc.);

– scientific and educational institutions, training centers;

– enterprises of various sectors of economy interested in the use of unmanned aircraft.

Participation in “Unmanned Aviation 2023” Conference

UVR LLC presented a model of a light helicopter type UAV “Electron 7” with various variants of payloads and technological solutions, and also, the scientific and technical potential of the company.

The company’s developments aroused high interest among representatives of aerial vehicles operating organizations, as well as manufacturers of specialized equipment (infrared cameras, laser rangefinders, etc.). The special attention of the company’s stand guests was attracted by a radio modem for telemetric data transmission, designed by UVR.

The reports of the conference participants repeatedly noted the high level of development of unmanned aviation in the Republic of Belarus, the availability of the relevant legislation and of highly qualified personnel capable of not only developing, manufacturing and operating various types of UAVs, but also conducting the necessary training for operators.

The conference once again confirmed that the UVR brand has become known and recognizable among operators of unmanned aircraft systems and other players of the unmanned aviation market.

Online Workshop at Shatt Al-Arab University College (Basra, Iraq)

On April 17 the Marketing Communications Department of UVR LLC held an online workshop for employees and management of Basra universities and colleges, as well as representatives of a number of scientific and government organizations of the Republic of Iraq (more than 30 participants). The event was organized with the assistance of a Professor of Shatt Al-Arab University College in Basra (https://sa-uc.edu.iq/en/) Mr. Oday Jasim Al-Furaiji.

During the video conference the participants were familiarized with the main directions of research activities of UVR LLC in the field of unmanned aviation. Also, a presentation of helicopter-type UAV models, payloads and their application options was made.

Online Workshop at Shatt Al-Arab University College (Basra, Iraq)

The audience highly appreciated the scientific and technical potential of UVR LLC and the practical results achieved by the company.

The participants were interested in the flight characteristics of the UAVs, the integration of the carriers with specific payloads, the performance of tasks in difficult weather conditions. A particular interest has been shown in the system of protection of objects and special zones perimeters with the use of light helicopter-type UAVs.

During the event the following issues were discussed: possibilities of large-node assembly of UAVs, joint R&D projects, promotion of the UVR LLC technologies and products in Iraq and neighboring countries.

Participation of UVR LLC in the Belarusian-Uzbek Innovation Forum

On March 14-15 this year, UVR LLC took part in the Belarusian-Uzbek innovation forum hosted by the Science and Technology Park of BNTU “Polytechnic”.

The forum touched upon the following thematic areas:

– surface engineering, new materials, metallurgical processes;

– medicine, medical technology, pharmacy and industrial biotechnologies;

– information and communication technologies, electronics, robotics, instrumentation, digitalization;

– mechanisms for the development of various technological areas and stimulation of innovative entrepreneurship.

At the booth of UVR LLC, the flagship product of the company was presented – a light unmanned aerial vehicle “ELECTRON 7” together with a range of payloads, as well as information about other UAV models and the presentation of the company’s scientific and technical potential.

The forum participants – representatives of scientific organizations, educational institutions and subjects of the innovation infrastructure of Uzbekistan and Belarus – highly appreciated the company’s developments and outlined the prospects for their application.

Brushless Electric Motor Controllers for UAVs and Payloads

The electronics department of UVR LLC completed a cycle of works on adapting standard controllers of brushless electric motors to the features used in helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Brushless motor controllers convert the DC voltage from batteries into a three-phase AC voltage, implement various motor control functions (modes of stabilization of the motor current, its rotation speed, etc.), adjusting the voltage and current supplied to the motor. The controllers are operated via CAN, UART interfaces and by means of a PWM signal.

The adapted controller type can be applied to UAV electric motors used for various purposes.

The UAV tail rotor motor controller is located in the motor module casing and represents a single structure with it. The controller software is adapted to the operation of the tail rotor with self-expanding blades. This controller is serially installed on the UAV “ELECTRON 7”.

Brushless Electric Motor Controllers for UAVs and Payloads

Till now the prototype of the UAV main rotor motor controller has been developed, adjusted and tested. On bench tests the long-term electric power of the controller has reached 3 kW.

Also, a brushless electric motor with this controller is used in the winch developed by UVR LLC. The software of this payload is adapted to the peculiarities of cargo lifting and lowering by the light UAVs.

Successful Demonstration Event and UAV Testing in St. Petersburg

On February 17, 2023 specialists from UVR LLC performed demonstration flights and tested the main flight performance parameters of the UAV “ELECTRON 7” on the scientific and technical testing site of the St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPb SUT) in the village of Voeykovo, Vsevolozhsk District, Leningrad Region.

The event was organized at the request of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg. The Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Valery Moskalenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg Alexander Sitov, Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Technology Ruslan Kirichek, university staff, as well as independent experts took part in the event.

Despite the unfavorable weather conditions (snow and low clouds) our UAV completed all the assigned tasks, carried out photo and video shooting, performed monitoring of the terrain and specified objects and confirmed the declared performance characteristics.

New Application Options for the Radiation Monitoring System Based on the UAV “ELECTRON 7”

On February 16-17, 2023, St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” hosted the International Practical Conference “Intelligent Border Checkpoint in Russia and the World: Competence-Based Approach to Creation” (IBCP 23).

As part of the forum, UE “ATOMTEX” (Minsk) presented a report “Mobile Radiation Scanning Systems”, in which it once again demonstrated to interested parties the mobile System for radiation reconnaissance and monitoring RMG-AT2000, developed jointly with UVR LLC, used with an unmanned helicopter “ELECTRON 7”.

The report reflects the main advantages of using the system. The possibility of airborne remote radiation monitoring of containers in temporary storage warehouses, vehicles in queues and trains can significantly increase the level of detection of gamma radiation sources, taking into account the fact that currently used radiation detection portals usually do not register radiation above the scanned object.
